Stacy Doerksen: Stacy has also been riding motorcycles from a very young age, and she started racing in District 37 events when she was a teenager. Almost every weekend you can find Stacy competing in District 37 Hard & Hounds, Enduros and Grand Prixs. For numerous years Stacy has volunteered her time as a District 37 Grand Prix steward, which consists of assigning racers their numbers, keeping track of year end points and being at sign up at all the Grand Prix races helping last minute riders obtain their numbers, and seeing that they earn their points. she dedicates so much of her time to the riders that she sometimes cuts it pretty close trying to make it to her own race on time. Her dedication to the sport won her honorable District 37 Sportswoman of the Year Award twice in 2002 and 2003. 2007 has been Stacy's year for venturing out to ride bigger races. She raced in Mexico for the first time at this year's SCORE Baja 500. The road to getting through the Baja 500 was a bit rocky. While testing the race bike Stacy had a gnarly 90 MPH crash that she some how walked away from as well as a unfortunate pre-run accident that she also some how walked away from. With these near-misses behind her Stacy ended up having a flawless ride in the Baja 500 race. Her section was from Valley De Trinidad to Uruapan, where she handed the bike off to Anna. Stacy was the backbone of the fundraising for 2006 for the American Cancer Society; she also organized raffles to help Anna cover some of her racing costs, spending almost every weekend on fund raising events. She also went to the 2006 Baja 1000 and served as the chase team for Anna from Ensenada to San Felipe. Stacy is 34 years old single and lives in Apple Valley, Ca. She works as a House Manager for special needs children. Stacy is looking forward to racing on the next race Vegas to Reno on Aug 24, 2007 and hopes to do well. After 13 years pitting and chasing her husband, Tim, 2007 became Jennifer's year and Tim was now chasing as she raced the Baja 500.
